KALDARA GROUP has invested in research and development, to create Coolerboxes the first range of products made from Polyethylene. The company has developed patented technology, automated machines, production and material specifications and quality benchmarks as its own IP for complete automated manufacturing cycle.

Gudmundur Thor Thormodsson is the CEO and founder of Kaldara Group. He has worked on innovations in cold chain for the fresh fish and fresh food sector for decades.

Established Sæplast hf in Iceland ( Saeplast) and the designer of the 440/660 litre insulated fish tubs which have achieved sales of one billion USD plus. Gudmundur has also worked as inventor in other fields like designing of Geothermal wellhead technology and founder of Green Energy Geothermal. The technology was used in Green Energy Group´s 81 MW. The technology and concept were awarded 2013 Glopal Cleantech 100 and by Bloomberg New Energy Finance as 2014 New Energy Pioneer.

Kaldara Group is also supported by its directors and investors, Tomas Hansson and Ingi Gudjonsson, both with decades of experience in wide range of businesses, innovation and investments.

The company is based in Iceland but has a development center in southern India, where a dedicated team of experts run R&D projects and a small factory.
